Miranda is a budding artist influenced by the diversity of her background and her admiration for nature. Her vivid art and organic forms reflect a sense of tranquility and peace in each work. Whether it be painting, sculpture, or digital photography Miranda seems to find a direct connection between her inspiration, the viewer and herself. Miranda’s childhood in the Hawaiian Islands inspires many images resembling colorful, tropical flowers and oceanic scenes. Her journeys as a young woman and student have lead her to California where she has continued her arts education and expanded her talent to other art forms. Miranda continues to experiment with different mediums and wishes to study art in many countries and cultures in the throughout her life.
Artist Statement
The ability to express one’s self is an important human necessity. I believe that self-expression should be looked at with an open mind and heart. To be able to put a bit of my self, my core, my essence, into every piece I create and have at least one-person look at it, really see it, even relate to it, then I have succeeded. My goal is to create art that inspires life, images that inspire you to harness the world in front of you and to experience life in its entirety. I like to create art that allows us to view the world away from windows, and instills an appreciation in every viewer for how luck we are, no matter what our condition, to be alive.
